The AFOS Foundation had a Memorandom of Understanding (MOU) signing with the LGU unit of the muncipality of La Libertad on May 25, 2015.
AFOS will enter into a cooperation with the LGU unit and the Department of Social Welfare and Developent. (DSWD)
-GAP training of 150 farmers. -GAP certification
-Improvement in regard to infrastructure.
The objectives of the project is to increase the income of the farmers and adhere to Good Agricultural Practices (Phil GAP) as a principle of food safety, increase agricultural productivity, provide interventions for preventing soil erosion and land degradation through science and technology based farming systems.
The project will be finished by end of July 2015.
Present for the signing of the MOU was Mayor Lawrence D. Limkaichong, AFOS program manager Dietmar Speckmaier, former congresswoman Joselyn S. Limkaichong and OURFood Agri-Coordinator Don Traje.
Looking forward to a beneficial cooperation with the LGU in La Libertad and DSWD
