The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Founded in 1903, the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) is a non-stock, non-profit organization of businessmen, merchants, professionals and entrepreneurs that aims to be the driver of Cebu’s business growth by strengthening the capabilities of its members through advocacy, linkages and synergy moving towards global competitiveness of Cebu and its people.

Since its inception, CCCI has continuously evolved and has established itself not just locally but also in the Asia-Pacific regional as a consistently effective organization evidenced by the numerous awards it has received in the past years.

In the recent 39th Philippine Business Conference and Expo 2013, CCCI swept the awards as it was recognized as “Most Outstanding Chamber in the Visayas, Most Outstanding Chamber in the Philippines and Hall of Fame.

The Chamber’s Services:

In order to fulfill its objective of driving business growth in Cebu, CCCI provides its constituents and on occasion its non-members, services aimed at address various business needs. These include the following:

  1. External affairs and relations

CCCI serves as a connector by establishing linkages with various organizations in the local, national, and international area in both the public and private sectors to promote and develop programs for business growth. It helps foster strong partnerships with the local and national government units and agencies, non-government organizations for the creation and implementation of viable programs and strategies for economic development.

Being an influential voice, CCCI also participates in lobbying to uphold the interest of business through a system of consultations, dialogues and discussing issues and policies and pushing programs and projects geared towards the development and enhancement of business.

To help the members and the business community stay abreast with the latest news within the CCCI community and new developments in business, the organization regularly publishes and disseminates newsletters and annual reports.

  1. Business Development

Part of CCCI tasks is to provide platforms to help facilitate business development not only for CCCI members but also for non-member clients. A host of special projects are organized for the business community which include but are not limited to trainings, seminars, fairs & exhibits, and trade missions. Furthermore, CCCI started a pioneering activity called “Meet the Business Legends” to help SME’s and budding entrepreneurs learn from experienced business leaders. Held quarterly, the event intends to provide a higher level of knowledge in entrepreneurship for individuals embarking on the similar respective business endeavors.

  1. Membership Development

Primarily responsible for the recruitment of new members, creating awareness on new business trends and developments; fostering camaraderie among members and conducting all other undertakings that cater to members’ needs to ensure more active member participation and involvement.

  1. Cebu Business Month

To become a platform for Cebu Business to strengthen its rank in order to take advantage of the opportunities to be opened up by ASEAN Economic Integration in 2015.

The CCCI will once again be celebrating the Cebu Business Month in June 2014. The CBM is an institutionalized month-long jubilee of the business community, a series of events to highlight, celebrate and inspire more success in the Cebu Business Community. It is geared toward sustaining business growth and development of Cebu and the neighboring islands.

Launched as Cebu Business Month in 1996, this yearly event continues to magnetize investments by helping create an encouraging business ambiance and supporting trade and industry. It has become Cebu’s tradition of sharing industry and expertise among businesses and affiliate organizations through shows, exhibits, trade fairs, sporting events, conferences, fellowships, cultural presentations and tourism prospects sustaining the Cebu business blazing momentum. The CBM is devised to advocate, share and provide a more dynamic and optimistic road to a sustainable business environment in Cebu.
